Join us on 17 December for a special edition of Sea Never Dry, a full day of programming that also marks the 18th anniversary of CCA Lagos.
This celebration brings together film, conversation, memory, and community—all rooted in the stories that shape Lagos and its ever-changing relationship with water.

Programme Highlights

  • Emi Omi / Emí Omí — The Life of Water / Me the Water
  • The Road to Bar Beach — a conversation with Papa Omotayo, Femi Odugbemi, Samuel Omoho (Papapa), and Dr. Odun Orimolade
  • CCA Lagos 18th Anniversary Preview
  • Memory Circle — a beach-themed gathering to close the day

Sea Never Dry reflects on Lagos’ evolving coastlines, its vanished beaches, and the vibrant social life that once animated the shore. It invites us to consider how memory, environment, and water continue to shape the city’s cultural identity.

As part of the Memory Circle (Beach-themed Party), we will host a special panel discussion featuring Papa Omotayo, Femi Odugbemi, Samuel Omoho, and Dr. Odun Orimolade, moderated by Mary Omoregie.

Curated by Mary Omoregie and Emmanuel Ndefo.
We look forward to celebrating with you.
