On the 27th of March, 2025 Adekunle Primary School became a vibrant hub of creativity as students engaged in a transformative Collaging Workshop, expertly guided by the talented Taiye Idahor (@greenpaintbowl). The workshop, hosted by Archives and Memories, allowed young minds to explore the art of collage, where imagination met hands-on creativity.

Taiye Idahor led the students through a fascinating journey of storytelling through visuals, encouraging them to express their unique ideas and experiences using a variety of materials. From magazine cut-outs to fabric scraps, the children learned to assemble diverse elements into cohesive and meaningful artworks. The process not only honed their artistic skills but also sparked deeper self-reflection, as each collage piece carried its own narrative and significance.

The atmosphere in the classroom was filled with enthusiasm as the students discovered the power of art to convey emotions, tell stories, and give voice to their individual perspectives. The workshop emphasized the importance of creativity as a tool for communication, fostering confidence and self-expression among the young participants.

This workshop marked another successful collaboration between Archives and Memories and the local community, offering students an enriching opportunity to engage in a hands-on creative experience. With guidance from experts like Taiye Idahor, the students were able to create unique artworks that reflected their thoughts, dreams, and aspirations.

Stay tuned for more exciting programs from Archives and Memories as we continue to empower and inspire the next generation through the arts!
